Is that a banana in the Norton taskbar icon? It looks like the Norton icon with two bananas in it. Is that is how it is supposed to look when it is in silent mode and you are playing games. Norton seems to automatically detect that I am playing games and goes in and out of this setting on its own.

Yes, that's the Silent Mode icon, and I think it is supposed to display a crescent moon (a nocturnal symbol) to show that certain functions of Norton are "sleeping" (suspended) when you are running a program in full-screen mode ;-) It does look a bit like a banana...another poster described it as a spider, and someone else referred to it as eyebrows ;-D
