Dear community,
I'm sorry for my bad english - I'm from germany and have heavy trouble while installing Norton Ghost 14.0
At the end of the installation there comes the error:
An error occured during the installation of assembly
component
{63E949F6-03BC-5C40-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}.
HRESULT: 0x800736FD
At this point i can click forward-button onyl, then the installation fails.
In Windows Vista x64 Event Protocoll, there stands (under the "red error icon" MSI-Installer) the following:
Product: Norton Ghost -- Fehler 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {63E949F6-03BC-5C40-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}. HRESULT: 0x800736FD. assembly interface: IAssemblyCacheItem, function: Commit, assembly name: policy.8.0.Microsoft.VC80.CRT,type="win32-policy",
First time I installed Norton Ghost it works fine. Later I had to uninstall it. After uninstall, i installed Visual Basic 2008 Express, SQL-Server 2008 (free version) and the SDK 2.0 and 3.5 . I think SQL-Server was the problem.
Because of this I uninstalled all these software, but the error doesn't come down. It's allready there.
Please tell me what I could do. Thank you very much:-)
Edit:
It doesnt help to use the Removal Tool. Problem still there since weeks.
Any help?

Hi inethacker,
Welcome to Norton Community!!
This error occurs due to some corrupt library files in Microsoft .Net Framework. Norton Ghost 14.0 requires .Net Framework 2.0. Please check the versions of .Net framework installed on your computer. You can check it in Add/Remove programs. Install .Net Framework 2.0. If version 2.0 is already installed, uninstall and reinstall it. You can download it from the following link:

LOL
It says that this is part of Vista:-)
What should I do now? How to uninstall it? I cant see this unter "Programms and Functions" (respectively: Uninstall Windows under System Control Panel)
