hi, i recenlty purchased NU 15 just awhile ago, and ran it along with the updates. i also installed onto a second computer.
first system installed onto is a laptop running win7 Ult. 64-bit, second is win XP service pack 3.
i cleaned my registry i believe, and the other components of it, however, shortly after doing this on both systems, my internet connection hasn't been what it used to. most sites won't load up completely, most notably sites that are most commonly visited, they partially load, but not completely. and i can't figure out why!! i have a second laptop, and i haven't installed NU15 onto it, and websites work just fine on it. all sites load up properly and completely.
However, my internet connection hasn't started acting up until just 2 days ago. i have tried restoring past registries, but that isn't helpful. i have also thought of doing a system restore. maybe that will help?? but i wanted to find support first, before doing anything further.
i am not very computer literate, so if anyone is able to help, please explain in easy to understand words, ty :)

Hello alienwarer,
I un derstand your concern regarding your internet. Could you please confirm what scans you specifically completed and with which components?
Additionally there are a few steps I would ask you to do to further troubleshoot this issue:
1. Could you please provide me a copy of the Scan.txt file from the registry scan logs which are located in the directory below
C:\Program Files\Norton Utilities 15\log
2. Could you Check what level of Tuneup your you are runnig i.e. if you are running Minimal Services or Recommended settings? Does it enable you to hit the restore button ?
3. Under 'Maintain' in the 'Manage your services' feature could you plesae take a screen shot highlighting all the services running and not runnig.
Kind Regards,
Skreddy

Hi, i'm not sure if i found what you are asking for! files i found are; AppDebug, AppPM, AppRegCompact, AppRegScan, and AppSystemMonitor, all under the log folder of NU, and total size of folder is 141 MB, and I'm not sure how to send you these files, i'd much rather not put it up here for display.
Also, it would seem the problem had fixed itself before, previous sites i couldn't access before were able to display, but just recently, the problem came back. it may be from the boot optimize section.
Also, the media streaming was turned off, i'm trying to figure out how to turn it back on, but i'm not sure.
the scans i had performed were scans required to bring system health up, it was medium, but i brought it up to high, so whatever scans were needed to do, i had done.
I'm not sure how to take a screen shot, so i can't show the services running, but there are a lot.
