Hi,
I live Norton DNS. It's working amazingly . But when going on Youtube it is really slow. Or even just stops. Didn't try any of the other video sites but guess that must be the same.
I saw a similar message on the Beta forum : http://208.74.204.196/t5/Norton-DNS-Public-Beta/Sl![]()
The topic stopped.
Is there a fix or something I need to change?
I am living in Holland with a speed of 17 mb . Should be ok right???
Using Comodo as my firewall and Norton as my AV.

Sorry for the delay!
I questioned internally whether or not DNS can impact YouTube streaming.
It does not appear that we have a known case or cause for the delay in YouTube streaming service.
A quick check on my side shows that it appears that YouTube may have slowed down a bit.
Have you tested with and without DNS and confirm it is DNS?
Best,
DC

Hi eezdva,
Please change the order of the two Norton DNS IP addresses and set 198.153.194.1 as first server, and 198.153.192.1 as second server. In order to make it work, please make sure you DON’T have NDNS client installed on the PC, and you’d need to change them manually by doing the following:
a. Open the Control Panel from your Start menu.
b. Click Network Connections and choose your current connection.
c. On the General tab of the Connection Status screen, click Properties.
d. On the General tab of Connection Properties, scroll down and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), then click Properties.
e. On the General tab of Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties, select Use the following DNS server addresses, and change the order of the existing IP addresses to 198.153.194.1 as first server and 198.153.192.1 as second server.
f. Click OK until each window is closed.
Please let us know it if helps.
Thanks,
Katie

Hi Katie. Can I also do the same on my router???
I don't have any other DNS client installed. So I will try it out. Thanks

Ok I tried it out. Now on Youtube it is much better.
However. When I don't use NDNS the bar where you can see the Youtube video loads almost instantly full. But with NDNS stll not as fast.
But this was an improvement.

Can you disable(turn off) Comodo firewall for temporary purpose and check the Youtube access with Norton DNS?
