Norton DNS

Hello,

I have been told by my ISP I am unable to change the DNS settings on my ADSL wireless modem.  Would I benefit from running Norton DNS on my computer when I have N360 installed?  If  "Norton ConnectSafe leverages the Norton Safe Web database.",  isn't that the same as the safe site icons I see now.

Thank you for any advice you can offer.

Dave.

Dave,

Using a second filter, Norton DNS, on your surfing shouldn't cause any problems - unless you set it to the most restrictive level and then try to play in the bad hoods :smileywink:

The difference between the DNS protection and the icons is the DNS protection will not let you access the site while the icons only tell you about the safety of the site.

Hope this helps

Dick,

Thanks for the explanation.  I understand a little better now.
