The issue is simply that my GHOST image drive will not completely boot XP. The boot process hangs just before the login screen and no error message. Any suggestions?

Can you explain what you mean by "image drive"?
Did you try to copy a drive or restore an image?

Thank you for your reply.
Ok, what I did was to "GHOST" the "C" drive. I will call the original drive drive 0 and the "GHOST" drive - "Drive 1"
When I my original C or system drive(drive 0) failed, I pulled it and replaced it with the "GHOST" drive - "Drive 1"
I started my computer and it went through the boot sequence and then stopped or hung just before the login.
The cursor still worked but all you see is the Windows XP logo. Does that make sense?

My mistake too. Not Ghost 15.
As Dave suspected, you did Copy Drive into a partition. It must be into unallocated space. No partitions on the target HD.
Your current boot issue can be fixed by zeroing the Disk Signature.
