Norton Ghost 15 SP1 is now available

Dear Norton Community,

We are glad to announce that we have completed testing our latest service pack of Norton Ghost 15 and it is now available to all Norton Ghost 15 customers through LiveUpdate.

To receive the update, simply run LiveUpdate in Norton Ghost 15 which will download and install the service pack. To verify you have the update, launch the Main User Interface, click on Help, and select About. The version number of the new release for Norton Ghost 15 is 15.0.1.36526.

2. How can I manually install these patches?

Norton Ghost 15 SP1 is currently available only through LiveUpdate to users of Norton Ghost 15.

3. What are the changes in this release?


Norton Ghost 15.0.1.36526 contains many changes and fixes from the previous version. Some of these changes include:

Fixed -- error E4BC0005: Unable to restore file id: [path]. Cannot restore the backed up file(fbf) when AES encryption is enabled and over 1GB zip file on network share or on CD/DVD

Fixed -- "System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException" error message after selecting "Unable to determine status" on Home tab.

Fixed -- After using Copy Drive with Windows 7 both HDs are rendered non bootable.

Fixed -- "You do not have sufficient privileges to perform this operation" message and Norton Ghost service stops and will not restart following reboot after install

Fixed -- BROWSE not functioning for "locate virus definitions folder" in Lights Out Restore

Fixed -- Product Activation and Help|About does not display correct number days remaining for activation
