Hi,
I've spent half a day trying to install Norton Ghost 15 on Vista w/out success.
The InstallShield Wizard installs Norton Ghost at about 75% completion and then stalls there although the green progress bar is been swiped over via a white phatom block.
This laptop had just Vista freshly re-installed with ALL updates from Microsoft.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Vista x32 or Vista x64?
Any security programs installed or preinstalled?

Hi,
Not sure what's happening. Suggest that you check in the Programs and Features area and make sure that no part of Ghost is listed. Do a control panel uninstall if you find anything. It might not hurt to run the Norton Removal Tool found here:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp
Make sure that you have downloaded and installed all of Vista's updates. Reboot and try from the download site.

Yes, by using the Norton Removal tool I was able to get rid of the error message. No more errors, but nonetheless the installation seems to stall at about 85% of the process.
I got my download from ftp://ftp.symantec.com/plublic/english_us_canada/l
Thanks!

Ron,
Have you run a full scan with MSE or Malwarebytes free scanner found here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_

I've run MSE. When I attempt to install Ghost, I've noticed two instances of the install process. I always have to cancel one instance.
