opps, I typed the command wrong before. I forgot the cd\ part, but I already enabled it again...

Try the following:

Reboot

Start > Run > cmd and click OK

CD\ and hit enter

cacls C:\RECYCLER\NPROTECT\NPROTECT.LOG /G BUILTIN\Administrators:F NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM:F BUILTIN\Users:R Everyone:C

cacls C:\RECYCLER\NPROTECT /G BUILTIN\Administrators:F NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM:F BUILTIN\Users:R Everyone:C

Reboot

Check to see if it's enabled now.

Do I hit enter after typing all of that before the 2nd reboot? I may have to continue this tomorrow though.

Hi

   I just tried the above suggestions and it doesn't seem to have done anything. It still isn't enabled upon reboot. I did it again manually by hitting services and the one for the NPROTECT, however it is listed in Services.

Once we get my System Works 12 Standard recycle bin to work correctly, will System Works 12 Standard work ok with IE 8? I've seen threads about NIS 2009 working ok with it now. Has it been tested out with IE 8? It seems not too many people use System Works 12 any more, so I hope that it has been tested out also.
