How long does the Regret Defragmenter in Norton Utilities meant to take? At the moment, mine has been going for a solid 2 hours and nothing seems to be happening. The Analysing message on the Norton Utilites Pop-up is reading 100%. The computer is still responsive, as the yellow progress bar continues to travel along the white area on the pop-up. It seems to be stuck on the part of my registry called 'Mcx1-EARTH.'
I am running the application on Windows 7 Professional x64. My system disk is pretty large, at around 180GB. Would this make a difference?
I have defragmented my Registry using other applications in the past and they have all taken around 10 minutes to do this. Although they have all done this outside of the Windows environment, usually after boot-up or before shut-down.
Why should it take so long? How long does it does on take on average?
Any ideas how this can be sorted out?

No, the Registry defragmenter should not take that long. Can you please try to do the following before you try Registry defragmenter again
Perform the following tasks
1. Clean your Registry
2. Repair Your Disks > Under Disk operations select Surface Scan > Click start
3. Restart you computer
4. Once booted open up NU and select 'Defrgarment your Disks'
5. Perform a 1-click optimization
6. Once completed then try to do the REgistry Defragmenter again.
Let me know how it goes.
