How can I stop NU from deleting my passwords normally entered by the computer? The type ahead feature no nonger works, like when I enter my email signon on some things, it would pop up so I could just select it to fill the box.

Also, I have my programs locked on the taskbar and it normally built up the last 10 most active documents run. After running NU, the docs are removed from the build list for that program.

I don't see any way to set up NU to prevent these problems.

Hi Bob,

NU comes with a bunch of scans enabled by default.  To disable the Browser Scans (which wipe out saved passwords):

Open Norton Utilities 15

Click on "Optimize"

Click on "Clean your Disks"

Click on "Browsers"

For each browser, there are some items listed in the right-side window.  Uncheck "Passwords" then click on "Save"

That should do it.  Hope this helps!

Boy, there is a lot under the covers of this program. Would have been nice if they included instructions for Optimizing the program. Nothing in the help section I saw.
