Welcome to the forum. There was a previous problem with NU 14.5 and 64 bit OS. However that was resolved a while back. You can see this thread for details.
There are no other known problems of significance with 64 bit OS.
Before you use the registry utilities you need to make sure you have version 14.5.0.118 as indicated from Help>About. If you do not yet have NU 14.5 and are asking a pre-sales question or you do have NU but don't have this version, then please run Live Update and this should update you to the current version with all fixes.
