After running Boot Optimization and checking Optimize Boot Files and checking Include Page Files this is the message that I get after a reboot. And it doesn't go away.

CJobmanager :: Checkout Error!

Cannot checking out Jobqueue!

Cannot load job group Batch!

File name:

cannot load Norton speeddisk tasks queue XML file! It is possible it was corrupted.

Hi,

I will assume that you have rebooted and that didn't clear the problem. Can you tell me your operating system and the version of your Norton product?

You assumed correctly. Windows 7 Pro SP1. Norton Utilities 15.0.0.124.

Just to add to the fun I just tried using speedisk on my system and it tells me that it cannot connect to the engine. I think I'd better troubleshoot mine before I try yours and get both of them messed up.

I have the exact same problem!!! running win 7 x64 sp1. I should have known better than to try another NORTON PIECE OF **bleep**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speed disk cannot connect to engine on my system either. I thought, perhaps, it is because I am using Windows 8 Release Preview, but I see 7 users are having similar issues..

Hi,

Not sure what the problem with NU and SpeeDisk are but windows defrag, which is the same engine, is working as expected.

Dick, I'm pretty sure that in NU version 15, speed disk does not use windows defrag and is a totally seperate program.

NAV, NIS, and 360 use the windows defrag for "optimization" but speed disk is it's own program.

I also don't think NU 15 supports windows 8 yet.
