Re: Norton Utilities shuts down my memory manager

Apologies for the delay in response.  I was unavailable the last several days.  After discussing with the developer we were going to point to Windows.  The problem seems to be a delay in the refresh of those icons when it cycles.  The scans by NU don't touch any areas that could impact the system tray so it has to be the refresh issue.

Hi again,

Sounds logical, so I'll start to look there.  Thanks again.

Re: Norton Utilities shuts down my memory manager

Hi again,

Now at least I know that t's not a Memokit issue.  I did a quick Bing search for Refresh issues and saw one on altering the refresh rate.  I didn't think it'd make any difference but tried it anyway (up from 60 ro 75Hz).  I then did a clean up and the disappearing icon event occurred again, this time including the newly-installed DNS icon!

Keep looking, Ian.

Re: Norton Utilities shuts down my memory manager

I apologies if I made it seem like it was a problem with memokit.  This is a Windows issue where it's not able to refresh and redraw all of icons.  Same as before, do you still see the Norton DNS proces running?
