Norton Utilities v15: Installed & Activated, but Not Registered

I bought a laptop. Then, I bought online Norton Utilities (licensed for 3 installations). I downloaded and installed it; I think I activated it but I‘m not sure. After a couple of weeks I found out the laptop was slow for my use, so I decided to return it and buy a faster one. Before returning the laptop, I made a backup, and uninstalled Norton Utilities while the internet was connected, assuming the uninstallation will update my Norton account.

I returned the laptop, and bought a new (faster) one. Using the already downloaded Norton Utilities (it was in the backup of my returned laptop), I installed it in the new laptop, and then I activated it.

Checking my Norton account, does not show in the registered Products page, but it still is in the Order History page (order status = closed).

Any help would be appreciated.

Please contact Customer Support and explain your situation to them.  They should be able to regain your activation.  You can reach them at http://www.norton.com/chat.  Live Chat is often the quickest.

Re: Norton Utilities v15: Installed & Activated, but Not Registered

Dave,

Thank you very much!

Quotes from chat:

Customer service: “Norton Utilities will be shown only under Order History tab of your Norton account. It will not show under products tab, as it does not have subscription.”

Customer service: “As you are a long term customer, I am adding an additional 30 days of subscription as a gesture of good will to your Norton 360.”

Awesome!

Customer service: “Norton Utilities will be shown only under Order History tab of your Norton account. It will not show under products tab, as it does not have subscription.”

That's why I suggested Customer Support instead of the Norton Management method you used with N360.

Customer service: “As you are a long term customer, I am adding an additional 30 days of subscription as a gesture of good will to your Norton 360.”

That's a great outcome.  Thanks for letting us know.  :smileyhappy:
