Dear Friends,

I have Western Digital External USB Drive - Passport 250GB.

I tried to take the backup of my DESKTOP through Ghost 15 to passport and it went smoothly but when i tried to restore the specific folder from my Passport USB Drive, Ghost version 15 was not able to locate the drive. At the same time I tried to take another back and it seamlessly worked again but it was not able to recover again. At the time of recovery, it does see its own files in the backed up drive.

Does anyone know if Ghost 15 has any issues with WMD USB Drives?

Hi Arshi,

Welcome to the forum.

As far as I know there are no issues with Ghost 15 and WD drives, Can you post the steps taken to run your backup image onto the external drive.

So long as G15 can "see" the USB drive the recovery should work.

You could also run a "Cold" backup by inserting your Custom SRD (Symantec Recovery Disk) or your installation disk and boot up then follow the instructions on the screen. This is just another way of running a backup direct without installing G15, it may prove successful.

Please post also a pic of the recovery point files off your external drive.
