I am also having problems getting Norton tool bar to work with FF 10.0.2. I recently purchased a new computer running Windows 7 Pro. I deleted Macafee from the computer and installed Norton through Comcast. "About" reports Norton as version 5.0.0.125. When I attempt to enable FF10.0.2, Norton gives me a message that FF10.0.2 is Norton. On my old computer running XP Pro, FF 10.0.2 works just fine. There the Norton version is reported as 5.2.0.13. I have removed and reinstalled Norton on the Windows 7 computer but got version 5.0.0.125 both times. Do I need a newer version of Norton and if so how do I get it?

How did you remove McAfee? Control Panel > Programs & Features and uninstall? After that, did you run the McAfee Removal Tool? Step 2 under SOLUTION here: http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS10
0507.
Please open your version 5.0.0.125 NSS and manually Run LiveUpdate (located on drop-down under PC Security on left side of main page of NSS) as many times as necessary for it to respond "no more updates available". If a reboot is requested, reboot and then continue to Run LiveUpdate until it responds "no more updates available" and then reboot one last time. Your installation should now be up to date definition wise and ready for use. At this time check the version - it sholdl be 5.2.0.13. Once you are on that version, try to run manual Liveupdate again until it reposrts no more updates availaable". Please be patient I have seen up to 10 reboots required to get it totally updated.
Now try to obtain FF 10.0.2 - you may have to enable add-ons - let us know if you have any questions and keep us posted as to how you get on!

It only took two rebuts to get up to version 5.2.0.13 on the Windows 7 Pro machine and I was then able to enable the Norton Toolbar in FF 10.0.0.2. I am a happy camper again, THANK YOU much for the help
