rostamiani,

PM 8 does that especially to 2048 sector aligned partions. With primary partitions it is easy to fix but your partitions are logical volumes.

Can you tell us what partitions were present before you used PM. How do the partitions differ now? What is in G: Windows partition?

Can you post a screenshot of Win7 Disk Management?

Can you post a partinfo?

Re: Partition Magic 8 corrupted the partition table !

1.I had two linux partitions at the beginning of HDD

When I  deleted them using Windows Disk Management, the blue screen appeared and computer restarted !

I booted system with partition magic and did the fix but PM did not show any partitions !!!

Then installed  a fresh windows 7 where the linux partitions was andrestored old windows partition using Acronis Disk Director

2.There is no windows on G now !

3.How can I  create a partinfo ?

Re: Partition Magic 8 corrupted the partition table !

Can you make a BootIt BM CD?

Download BootIt BM. There is a 30 day trial usage. Unzip the file and make a boot CD.

 double click makedisk.exe, next
dot in BootIt Bare Metal, next
dot in I accept the agreement, next
don't select Image for DOS (GUI), next
dot in Mouse Support Enabled, next
 dot in VESA Video, next
dot in Video Mode 1024*768 - 64K Colors, next
dot in Partition Work (Don't put a dot in Normal), next
don't choose any Device Options, next
tick in Enable USB 1.1 (UHCI), next
tick in Align partitions on 2048 Sectors
tick in Use Windows 7 MBR, next
 ignore Additional bootitbm.ini Options, next
select your CD burner drive letter (you can use a CD-RW or a CD-R disc)
 Finish

It's bed time for me. I'll take you further with BootIt BM tomorrow. We'll try and correct your partition overlap which is stopping Windows from accessing your last partition.

I created a BootIt BM CD but don't know how to use it !

I tried to recreate Partition Table with Partition EASEUS Partition Recovery :

http://www.ptdd.com/rpt.htm

but I cannot select Data prtitiion and Archive partition because they are overlapped !

Can I solve the conflict between partitions by resizing Data partition ?

Thanks

Hang on before doing anything else.

Brian is in another time zone and usually returns between now and within an hour.

rostamiani,
Boot from the BIBM CD. Do you see the words *Errors Exist*? Do you see an E next to any partitions?

Re: Partition Magic 8 corrupted the partition table !

I see *Errors Exist* and letter E next to Data and Archive partitions

and this warning appears in partition properties :

Data partition :

*Warning* file system ends at LBA 840660991

Archive partition :

*Warning* file system ends at LBA 1250260984

Re: Partition Magic 8 corrupted the partition table !

I don't think you will get this option because it is a logical volume rather than a primary partition but select the Data partition, hold down the left Shift key on the keyboard and click Properties with your mouse. Do you see an End LBA field you can edit?

With the Data partition selected, which buttons in the Action column on the right side are NOT greyed out?  (ie available)

Re: Partition Magic 8 corrupted the partition table !

I cannot edit  End LBA for any partitions !

When I select Data partition, just Delete and Properties buttons are not gray
