I used the Norton Power Eraser but then got the following message: scan cannot run because Norton Power Eraser cannot access the Symantec Server. Error Code 0x80045003,n2E
I had tried in safe mode but didn't work either. What should I do?

Please try running NPE again. The error is related to connectivity issues with the Symantec server. This may be a network issue. In the next release we are looking at methods to make the tool more resilient to connectivity problems.
Thanks,
Prasanth.

eir Hi, ![]()
Firstly, welcome to the community.
Please let us know which OS you are using, whether 32 or 64 bit and which software is operating on your computer. Also, are you or have you been using another security program and, if so, did you completely remove it?
Which internet connection are you using?
When we have this information I am sure someone will quickly guide you through the steps to solve your problem.
Cheers,
drshlomo.

Hi, I have Vista and no other security program that I know of. Where can I find the bit of the OS? Thanks.

I tried it again right now and it still can't connect.Could it be because the public folder sharing is off?

Hello elr,
Did you see Prasanth's reply to one of your threads?
Have you tried re-running Power Eraser since your initial attempts?

Yes, I did run it again today and still can't connect. Could it be because the public folder sharing is off?
