I can re-name the file on my desktop. and drag it Combo Fix.exe

The way is to Right Click the attachment and it should give you a popup menu with a "Save As" or similar.

Ok..I see that now. I'm an older guy and not all that computer literate. And, to be fair...you didn't instruct me to re-name the file, so I probably wouldn't have changed the name anyway.

Just delete the version on your desktop you have and use the Combofix download link in the combofix instrutions.

OK...deleted the CombFix file I had and downloaded from the website again. While the scan was running, got an error message
"PEV.exe stopped working". Left it alone and it disappeared and the scan completed, but when I checked C: ComboFix there was no log file there. The file was still open on the screen, so I saved it as C: log, which is attached. Tthere were 2 files in the C ComboFix file: PEV, a 250KB Application file and snapshot..00.DAT a 2998KB Data file.
Not sure if this was a good scan or not.
It is 2:00AM here in the Pac NW USA and I must retire as I have work tomorrow AM.

OK, good, now hopefully the final cleanup phase
Download OTL hxxp://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.exe (change the hxxp to http) save it to your Desktop.
Double click on OTL.exe to run it. Right click OTL.exe and select run as administator for Vista and Win 7.
Click the Scan All Users checkbox.
Change file age to 60 days
Press the
