Problem Running Scans using Norton Security Suite

I have spent all morning working on this and I am not happy. I have 5 risks. When I click on Fix risks, it does not fix the risks and just runs updates.

 

Whenever I select run scans it will only run the updates. When I select run antivirus or spyware scan, it gives me a code to download something from Symantec. When I do this it will not download to my desktop as directed. Very frustrating, someone please help. thank you!

Can you provide some more information on the:

1. Norton product you are using

2. Version (Support -> About)

3. Operating System

 

You can also post a screen shot of the results or type them out.

I am using Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium. Also noticed it says my definitions are not up to date. Again, whenever I click on fix problems, they are not fixed and just show the updates and one click support page with message with number

3047,43 for a solution and when that is downloaded, nothing happens either (v5i....something)

Can you tell us the names of the risks which are being detected?

 

Based upon the information provided, it appears your are using an older version of the Comcast NSS.

 

Please check the instructions on this page to update your product to the latest version.
