Problems with Comcast Norton Backups on Computer (Not online)

COMPUTER PICTURE
These two pictures show my computer set up with the Comcast Norton Back up on D:. My OS is Windows Vista SP 2 and my back up is filling up to the point I am being told by Norton to change my backups’ settings. I cannot figure out how to delete the old backups in order to have space for more backups. It insists that there must be at least one back up. I have assumed that each time it backs up my photos etc that that is a new back up. So in addition to the default back up, I made a February back up. This has not helped anything.
This next picture shows the default back up.

Now for the February backup picture:

The system tray shows a Norton icon with a red “x” on it and when I investigated by bringing up Norton, I saw the following: (see picture below)

I proceeded to fix it and I get a screen with Norton Activities and Scans. From appearances both backups are being completed. I get a backup of the jpeg I am making of my progress! At the end of the second backup I get a notice that nothing was backed up in the default backup as there isn’t enough space. But 17 items are backed up in the February back up. At the end of the process, Norton still wants changes to backups………………………How do I fix this? CS

Hi
Sorry for the trouble you're having. If you had created a new backup set, then delete the Default backup set and configure the new backup set you had created with the options previously configure with the Default set. Please try these and let us know...

**************************************************
************************************************** *************** SUBASH_PRABU, I selected "Manage Back up Sets" in Comcast Norton and deleted the default back up. I did not restart the computer so I don't know if this affected the amount of free space showing on D:. I am confused as I am thinking there is a N360_BACKUP folder on C: as well as one on D:
I am including snaps of the computer:
Space available after deletion.

Now for Norton Back up drive after deletion: it appears that the default back up is still there? See snap shot taken after deletion:

Now for the contents of the recovery disk D:
__________________________________________________
Notice the N360-BACKUP folder on C:. What happened here?

When I select "Manage Back up Sets", here is the only back up shown:

What can you tell from the information shown? What do I do now? Thanks for the help so far! CS

Hi Susan
Please delete the Default set in the Norton Drive that'll delete the files in that N360backup folder...The folder will still be there but it'll be empty and you can go ahead and delete the folder.

HI Subash Prabu. Using Windows Explorer to go to the Norton Drive to delete the old back up still leaves me with a N360-Backup folder in two places: C: and D:. Yes, I am aware that D: is a partition of C:! But there are two folders. Neither folder is empty.
My current version of Comcast Norton is not the only Comcast Norton that has been on this computer. My computer guru installed Comcast Norton 4, I believe in July 2010. He upgraded it to 5.1 when that came out. I have currently 5.2.0.13, which I got from Live update.
See photos to understand what has happened.
Thanks.

Subash_Prabu: I am waiting for a response to my last post. I'm still confused. Also the post before this one is by someone who moved a "me too" post in my thread to a new one.

Hi Susan
Can you please go ahead delete those folders (N360 Backup) Through the Windows explorer and let us know if you're not able to do it?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Thank you for the reply. I went first to D: and deleted the folder. It was too large for the recycle bin and was deleted about 8 or 9 GBs of files. The second one on C: was not so large. Deleted that one and was not asked about the recycle bin on that deletion. Now to see if back up works ok. If it does I will mark your reply as the solution
