Programs stay in task manager with 360 v2.

I am running Windows XP with all available updates, and had no troubles running 360 V1.  After upgrading to 360 V2, programs like Word, Excel, and Photoshop now stay in memory (you can see them in Task Manager).  After being on all day, I can have many instances of these programs running and hogging memory (especially if you have run Photoshop a few times).  I need to use control-alt-del to open task manager and then kill the applications that way, or else the computer becomes so slow it is unusable.  I have Googled around and found others have complained of this problem upon upgrading to V2, but so far no solutions.  Any ideas?

What happens when you uninstall 360 v2?

Does it go away?

Re: Programs stay in task manager with 360 v2.

I've noticed the same thing, but I think it's a Windows problem because prior to installing 360 v1 or v2, MS Office, Adobe, and other programs I have stay in the Task Manager until you delete the duplicates.  Windows Explorer is famous for being in there several times as are other Windows programs.  Sometimes if you open and close a program, then try to reopen it the program will not load.  You have to delete one or more instances of it from the Task Manager and then it will open.

Not a Norton problem.  Windows has always been terrible at memory management.
