Putting Ghost Images On A Hard Drive

Hello,

I have a hard drive recovery image on 5 DVDs with the first DVD as bootable to start the recovery process.  Is it possible to all the images on a bootable hard drive and recover from there?

Thanks.

Re: Putting Ghost Images On A Hard Drive

What version of Ghost are you using? I think when the original Ghost (now Symantec Ghost) makes a bootable disc, it is DOS (or free DOS) based. You could copy all of the image files (gho, ghs, etc.) to a hard drive and still boot the bootable disc. You would then browse to the drive containing the image files to restore. I would definitely verify the image first.

Or you can use Ghost32 in WinPE to do the restore. This would provide better hardware support.
