Question about permanently removing the Norton Toolbar from Firefox

I have "Free from Comcast Norton Security Suite (CNSS)" which seemed to install the Norton Toolbar into firefox, v 3.6.2 on Windows XP.  However I cannot remove said toolbar from firefox.  If disable it, it is only disabled until I restart the computer.  Frankly, this is unacceptable to me for several reasons, some philosophical, and some practical.  My question is how do I remove this toolbar from firefox?

Perhaps this will help, I put permanently removing norton toolbar in search bar at top left of page and ticked board and search it brings up a lot of info this is but one :)
