I have switched my email to Google Apps, and the outgoing server requirements are SSL with port 465. I know how to edit the XML file to change the port. How do I send email with SSL?

Hi Gforeman,
Welcome to the forum. Can you specify exactly which Norton product you are asking about? Also, what is your OS version and SP level to include 32 or 64 bit?
Thanks
Allen

Doesn't matter what OS, XP, Vista, I have ghost on all versions, but no way to set SMTP email since I switch mail host to Google Apps.
Using Ghost 14 and 15.
I also just learned I cannot do it in BackupExec either. using SSL is not something new, hopefully there is a way to set this.

Hi Gforeman,
Thanks for the information. Unfortunately Ghost does not support SSL at this time.
Hopefully this will be added in the future. Perhaps someone from Symantec can comment further on the plans for SSL support.
Allen
