I just thought that I’d testify to the fact that if you leave it alone, (for a really long time) it will eventually complete on its own.

When I left it alone, about 36 hours. BUT, that was to a NAS that I get bad thoughput on (First Generation Western Digital World Book in a RAID 1 array.)
