I tried to update my original version of Ghost 2003 to version 793.
As LiveUpdate did not find any updates, I found a link http://service1.symantec.com/Support/sharedtech.ns
But the link is dead.
Can anyone provide me informations how to obtain the 793 update, or where to download it directly?
Thanks.

Welcome,
I'm not sure that Ghost 2003 is still supported. The current version is Ghost 15.
You might contact customer support here
and check with them on support and the link location if it is still supported. If it is no longer supported then you will need to buy a copy of the new version. ![]()

Thank you, it worked.
For those, who will be unable to use the archived guide in the future:
1) Download the attached file (Settings.Hosts.txt) and rename its extension to .LiveUpdate, so the whole filename will be Settings.Hosts.LiveUpdate.
2) Place it to the folder c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate\
3) Run file Luall.exe from the folder c:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate\ - it starts the Live Update application, which has now a drop down menu, where you can choose the archive server as an alternative from.
4) Run the update twice in order to get the last version of Ghost 2003.
Thats it.
This guide is for Windows XP. If you use a newer system, the paths may be slighly different.
