I have A Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows Vista and received Norton PC Checkup with the Shockwave download. I have searched this forum and tried the few options (which are basic Windows procedures for removing sw)suggested but nothing works. Opening PC Checkup only produces a gray progress bar in the middle of the page, no interface ever loads. What is the REAL solution to a clean uninstall of this product?
Thanks in advance

Hi helpingfriend,
Welcome to the community!
Norton PC Checkup is an application that is used by support agents for providing premium service. Do you remember contacting the Norton support for this service offering?
By the way, manual removal through Add/remove programs in the Control Panel should remove this application.

I don't think this application is shipped with the Shockwave player. The one that we actually ship with the Shockwave player is Norton Security Scan. I remember coming across another community member who had similar confusions between the two.
