I am trying to fix my friends laptop. I ran Norton power eraser in safe mode and it detected a virus called Physicaldrive0. It asked me to restart the system in order to remove it. Now the computer gets the BSOD everytime it boots up. I cannot even get to windows anymore. Can someone please help me with this bs? I would appreciate it more than anyone else on this forum.  I have a good background with windows so I can follow instructions well.

Brendan,

Can you tap F8 to get to the Safe Mode menu screen. Choose "Last Known Good Configuration". Good luck.

I had a PM from the user, I can see what looks like happened.

I tried using last known good configuration and still getting the same BSOD
