Hello frankp4
Welcome to the Norton Users Discussion Forum
We can not see your image yet until the mods approve the image. Since this is a holiday weekend, it may take a little longer than usual. In the meantime, what Norton product are you referring to and what version number please? Also what operating system and service pack level.? Since we can't see the image yet, what exactl is happening?

And what does the Win7 Action Center says is the problem? What version of BullGuard do you have installed? Is it still based on BitDefender's AV engine?

I'm glad you find it satisfactory for you. Thanks for pointing out the bug in the scanner; I'm sure Symantec will have that fixed soon.

Think you need to keep your responses polite.

frank,
None of us see any evidence that this is in fact a genuine Norton popup and since malware imitiations have already been spawned, like Internet Security 2010, and since I don't recollect ever seeing anything approaching this reported on a Symantec system I am inclined to say it is Malware unless of course you invited the security scan on a Norton website?
Let's see what Symantec say about this before we throw any paint aroound.

This is a Norton product; it is Norton Security Scan available from here. However, I have a Norton BETA product on my system right now and the scan does not detect it either. As I said before, this is looking like a bug in the software and I'm sure it will be fixed soon. This may also have something to do with detecting security software on Win7 systems. We will have to see what Symantec officially says.
