I have had WinFax Pro for a number of years and there has been a development lately where I am not able to finish inputting new recipient information. To reiterate, when I an typing in a new recipient's fax number I am taken to another page of the program without being able to finish the new recipient adding process. I called Norton for support but WinFax has been deemed obsolete and therefore does not have a support team anymore. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

What page do you get taken to?
I ask that because for me there is no following page, just the modem box that comes up as it dials.

I am dumped back into the section where the phone book area without any of the new data being saved. I will be able to give a more detailed account as soon as possible. Thanks

ok, so when I first open the program I am prompted if I want to run the program in a compatibility mode for other versions fo Windows. I am then in the logs section and move over to Phone Books where I select a general group then "new recipient". Right after that WinFax Pro completely crashes and the cycle repeats itself over and over again.

Did it used to work?
You must be using it on an incompatable operating system. I use it in XP, I'm not sure if Vista supports it but I know that Windows 7 does not.
I just open the message manager from the system tray icon and then select: Send > New Fax
Then I either fill in the boxes or select a recipiant from the phone book list on the right.
When I click send there is no other screen, just the modem box and the message manager still open in the background.

I am replying one more time for the sake of clarity on my part.
When I open WinFax Pro I go into "phone books" and proceed to "new recepients" and when I get to the part where I can fill in the name of the recepient, I can fill out the first and last name, title, and business name but when I begin to type in the actual fax number the program closes altogether. Thank you for your patience, Dave!

Hi csbef,
Symantec discontinued sales and support of WinFax PRO on June 30, 2006. A web based community support forum exists for users of WinFax PRO.
