Can I backup my Vista computer, including software and then reinstall software after in clean install Windows 7? If not, is there anything else i can do or use?

Ghost is disk imaging software. So if you use Ghost to back up your Vista install, install Windows 7, then recover the Ghost backup (of Vista), you will be right back at Vista!

If you do a clean install, you will have to reinstall all your applications. No way around it.
I have an envelope for all my systems. Evert time a piece of software is installed, it goes in the envelope. Even if downloaded, I make a disk.
I've learned the hard way, have all your software handy for a recovery!
