After installing Norton Security Suite 5.1.0.29 from Comcast, I can no longer connect to the itunes store. I've tried all the obvious solutions - turning off firewall, turning off virus protection, etc.
Any other ideas?

Hi rfamily4:
Welcome to the Norton community:
If you have v. 5.1.0.29 of a Norton product, you likely have Norton 360. Have you searched for an answer in the N360 forum? I found a post here titled Norton by Comcast Blocking Programs Runs that may have some useful information.
You may be having problems connecting to iTunes because of your Smart Firewall settings, so the first thing I would check is your firewall Program Control. In NIS, it's Settings | Network Settings | Smart Filewall | Program Control | Configure. Access for iTunes should be Auto by default, but it might be necessary to change this access to Allow for iTunes and then re-boot your PC.
In iTunes, go to Help | About iTunes to make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes (currently v. 10.5.0.142 on my Vista PC). You should also check for updates (Help | Check for Updates) to see if any other Apple components require an update.

Hi Imacri,
This is one of the things I tried and still no luck. The progress bar at the top of the iTunes window goes about half way across the bar and then just stops. I don't get any kind of an error message. Very frustrating.
Thanks, Steve

I believe the problem is not with Norton now. I unistalled Norton completely and still have the same problem. Sorry for the confusion. I'll start searching the Apple site for solutions.
