Alright, so a restart did help but not all the way. This time I didn't get an error till it got to 99%. The error is:
-Error EC8F17B3: Cannot complete copying of RECOVERY (*:\) drive.
--Cannot copy source drive to destination location.
---Error EBAB03EE: Operating System API 10004 failed.
----Error EBAB03F1: The parameter is incorrect.
---Cannot copy source drive to destination location.
----Error EBAB03EE: Operating System API 10004 failed.
-----Error EBAB03F1: The parameter is incorrect.
Also, my SSD now has the recovery partition but it says: [Primary Partition]
Where as my original HDD's recovery partition says: [System, Active, Primary Partition]

Annoying. Delete the recovery partition on the SSD. Do a full shutdown and try again.

Yes, really annoying. I did a full shutdown but still got the same error.

Let's try image/restore. Make a One Time Backup of the Recovery partition. You can choose your Win7 partition as the destination for the image file. Let me know when it's complete.

I guess I'll leave that for tomorrow. I need to sleep early tonight. Just out of curiously what is that option called in Norton ghost (for making an image?). Thank you so much for your help. This cloning stuff is such a headache. Be back here tomorrow...

"One Time Backup" is under Tasks in Ghost 15. Don't worry about any options except for Verify.
Edit... I never know what these errors mean.
Do you have an external HD?

Sorry to interrupt, but how was the drive attached when you were getting those errors?
If it's the Samsung SSD kit it comes with a SATA to USB adapter. If that is what you were using that may explain the errors.

Keep interrupting. Good question.

We may see more of this.
Red posted this link the other day.

Samsung is including a free copy of Ghost 15 with certain SSD's. They also include a SATA to USB adapter. If you watch the video it looks like that must be the way they are reccomending the clone.
It also comes with a drive bay adapter for use in a desktop but they may not be reccomending a SATA connection for doing the clone on a desktop.
Pretty impressive specs on the drive, really makes me want one.

All new info for me. But essential to know. I made the big "assumption" error that the SSD was connected to the motherboard.
