Try Message # 113. Good luck.

Used BootIt BM and clicked view MBR. All 3 partitions are there, and recovery is the active one. Clicked Win7 MBR.
Still the same error when booting from the SSD.
Used BIBM again. Selected REcovery partition and clicked BCD edit. I did NOT get an error message. Went through the entire BCD Edit instructions in msg 104. Still getting the window where I must select Windows 7, but it booted up after that (no HDD installed)! Will try to reboot on the SSD and see what happens . . .

Still getting a request to select an OS everytime I boot up. Once I select Win7, it is fine. Will I have to do this every time? Do I need to do msg 113?
Also, do I need to move my SSD to SATA 0? Do I need to change it to the 1st boot up option in BIOS? (I know I should eventually, but could that be part of the issue I am experiencing now?)
I can taste victory . . . or is that just my breakfast?
Say hi to Slippery Peter for me . . . sounds like he has been hanging out with the guys in the US Secret Service . . .

Slippery Pete is in big trouble.
Yes, move the SSD to SATA 0. Can you boot into Win7?

I have a Win7 Pro 64-bit reinstallation disc - would I boot from that?

I understand you have a boot menu but can you boot into Win7?
04-22-2012 05:09 AM
Yes. It boots to a screen that asks me to Choose an operating system to start / specify an advanced option for this choice by pressing F8 / or select Tools - Windows Memory Diagnostics
If I just select Windows 7, it boots up fine the rest of the way . . .

That's great. I hadn't appreciated you got into Windows.
In Win7, open msconfig. Go to the Boot tab and delete the incorrect entry. Done.
