how do I create a stand alone image using ghost

Hi I am trying to create a standalone install image that will require no user intervention (fire and forget), i was wondering what switches I would have to use to create this, at the moment I currently have "-quiet" and "-clone" listed, the drives that will be getting used will either be from the factory or pre-imaged, I would appreciate any help

In addition to -clone you need to use the "mode" prestore (partition restore).

ghost.exe -clone,mode=prestore,src=X\(image_name.gho

X is the partition within the image, a single pattition image will have one partition in it, a whole disk image may have more.

Hi

Thanks for that, I am running this from a dvd with the .GHO files split between 2 disks, will I still be able to install the image without having to chose each of the files as I progress with the re-image, as I have said previously I am trying to create this so that there is no user intervention at all

Someone will have to change disks and click something for ghost to continue restoring the second part of the image.

What version of Ghost are you using and how many systems are you talking about?

Will all these systems be the same make and model or will they be different hardware platforms?

What version of windows are you wanting to deploy?

multiple systems deploying windows XPSP3, all hardware will of course be the same, if I can manage to make the image so that there is no requirement to use the ghost console (popping in second disk is no bother) I will be a happy person. I am currently using V11.5
