new to the forum here and not all that tech savvy..
i downloaded norton 360 onto my girlfriends laptop and all is fine, but i bought it cause it said that it provides security for up to 3 pc's, ive got my own laptop which is a forest full of viruses (thanks to my cousin) an i dont know how to get 360 onto it. i have a norton account which lists everything that i have bought, but i just dont know how to get it onto my other laptop. do i have to buy another key?
and if i do what are the procedures after that, and if i dont have to buy another key, WHAT DO I DO??? thanks in advance guys sorry for the novel, cheers-Marz

Have the key that you used to install Norton 360 on your girlfriend's computer written down. Download the installer for Norton 360 onto your computer and start the installer. Type in the key when it prompts you for it (or copy and paste from your order form), and let the installer run a quick scan before it installs to remove some of the malware. When the installation finishes, there will eventually be a setup screen that will prompt you to create a Norton Account. If you already have one, then sign into it, but you can create a new one, it doesn't matter. Once your product key is registered on the website, the second license will be activated.
If the install fails for some reason, reboot your computer and, when it starts up, hold the F8 key. Use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode" and hit the enter key. Log into your account (not the Administrator account) and try the installation in safe mode. Safe mode will hopefully prevent some of the viruses from starting up, and should make it easier for Norton 360 to install, but only do this if it doesn't work in regular mode. Once you're done in safe mode, just reboot the computer and it will start up normally.

if you downloaded the self extractor onto another machine, you can either check your recycle bin to see if you deleted it or go into your temp directory and see if the installer is present there
