Norton should moniter internet bandwidth over daily, weekly and monthly timeframe, listing the total GB downloaded and uploaded via email, browsing, videos, and moview, games, upload and download. That should be put on a WISHLIST.
What I mean is the upload and download amounts should be separated into email, video, movie, games, browsing, etc.
We need to know how much internet we are using. Norton is allways monitering that stuff. Also perhaps Norton could put some alarms in there so we could allocate daily weekly amounts and have an alarm or warnings. And have it stop internet use at a certain point.
That would be very helpful for when we are using things like 3G and 4G wireless. Which are limited bandwith with set amounts that we are allow or we are charged extra!
Can you put that in the developers head? As a really good wishlist item.. A feature we will use
PS: I'm no Newbie.. I've used Norton for over 30 years. (Probably too long, through all the troubles and lack of response to loyal customers. Its gotten better now. )

Hi,
I'm going to ask that your messaage be moved to the product suggestion forum so that it will be there when the staff goes looking for ideas to put in the versions yet to be released.
Thank you

Hi rgleason,
I am not sure I agree with you that Norton should be monitoring your useage.
My ISP monitors mine - they are the ones who determine overages, etc - not Norton. They even provide a meter showing useage for the current month and previous months.
Just my two cents!

One step manual update.
When u manually update, it's two steps. Click live update, then then click again "run live update" should be just one step

Is two steps a change they made to the 2013 versions ? ![]()
In NIS 2012, you can right click the tray icon and click 'Run LiveUpdate', one step. On the main interface, you click 'Run LiveUpdate', again just one step.
Am I missing something ....
