@Rolfvanrolf -- You can sort of see the list you are requesting on the right-side of this page:

Identity Safe needs a password generator integrated into it. Sandboxing for files,browser would be good. Update engine should go to cloud (liveupdate given the flick) autodownloading once it checks a new definition released (rather than 5min delay check) without restart.

1. A native 64-bit version of NIS.
2. Support for MS Office 64-bit including anti-spam.
Quite a few people are using MS Office 64-bit because it is so much faster than than the 32-bit version.
64-bit Outlook and Excel in partciular are superb.
3. Norton Toolbar that works with 64-bit browsers including IE8, IE9 and IE10.
Quite frankly, I am shocked that Symantec did not support 64-bit browsers in NIS 2012.
Some of the responses to previous queries re 64-bit support indicated a culture of 64-bit denial and inertia.
Symantec advertise themselves as the leading Security Suite company, so I expect them to show some leadership and lead the way.

Something similar to Keyscrambler would be good.

I am an Norton Internet Security User from 2002. My system is shipped with AMD Athlon 1800+ XP Processor, 2GB of RAM (1+1). In general I feel during a full time scan it takes lot of time, nearly 2.30Hrs. The partition size of the ' C' drive is 33.0.GB with used space size 17.0 GB. I have other partitions, four, of equal size. It is very very sluggish during scan especially in scanning windows installers, such as 3b2a85.msp. To scan C:/windows/installer/3b2a85 it took more than seven minutes. This is only the tip of the iceberg. I feel safe with Norton. But I demand a speed scan. In scanning USB drives it is still worst. It takes nearly FOUR minutes to scan an empty USB drive of 8 GB(ScanDisk). I appeal that next edition must be more quicker in demanding situations. If I am right, it would be better to make the scanning quicker with an update to the existing software.

dsvasan:
You have a system that is 3 generations old in computer years, so no security suite is going to run quickly on it.
I have a modern system and recently tried a few other security suites, including MS Security Essentials and Comodo Internet Security Premium (both 64-bit native).
MS Security Essentials was the slowest and Comodo was only about 15% faster.
Norton Internet Security scanned in about half the time MS Security Essentials did.
I quite liked the firewall component of Comodo, but it still asks questions occasionaly that other non-tech family members would not understand.
Despite its faults, I am sticking with NIS because:
a) Once set up, it is suitable for non-tech/don't care family members
b) scanning speed
c) I am expecting some major improvements for NIS 2013 as per this thread.

Sugesstions Norton AV IS 2013/360 v6-v7 future version
NAV/NIS 2013
• Activity map can only turned on, but there is no OFF button right now... (delete it anywhay, my suggestion);
• New interface (other colours);
• Thunderbird support;
• Opera browser support;
• Quick start Guide in help tab (now it is online only) so that novice users are being allowed to go through the basics of the product;
• Identity Safe logins sorting alphabetically;
• Make it as light as possible (no gimmicks or other things--> activity map).
Norton 360 V6-V7
• Better settings (just like symantec did in nav/nis 2012, more streamlined);
• BIg icons in main screen could be more helpful;
• New interface;
• Dont automatically tuneup, before asking. (so when installed launch a quick start panel, when u can select the options for backup and tuneup + identity safe);
• Quick Start Guide in help tab;
• Identity Safe logins sorting alphabetically;
• Make it as light as possible (No Gimmicks or other things--> Activity map);
• Thunderbird support;
• Opera browser support.
Improve all CONS given by reviewers (pc mag pc advisor etc etc etc)
• SONAR detection may erroneously block very obscure and little-used utilities;
• Parental controls not installed by default;
• Improve CPU usage when scanning (especially slow computers <2.0 ghz processor and 1 gb ram);
• Some features must be installed separately;
• Users can't back up data from main screen;
• This is an all-inclusive, powerful internet security suite; however, their test scores fall a bit short of the highest-ranked products.
