Chrome 21.0.1180.60 Released

Chrome 21.0.1180.60 has been released. If you don't have it already, just run your updater ... 'About Google Chrome'.

Only a few cosmetic changes made in Settings. The most noticeable change is the 'Globe' icon in the address bar, has been replaced with the 'earmarked page' icon. That will show up in your bookmarks also.

Many Chrome users were having problems with Chrome 20 when it came out. It, or something was affecting the safeweb icons in search results not showing. I don't know if this latest version is a fix or not, as I never had problems with the other version. Either way, I did test searches at Yahoo, Google and Bing with site ratings icons showing in all searches.

Re: Chrome 21.0.1180.60 Released

Hi Dave,

Those are new. With the list of 8 items there now, I only have the 4 at the top checked. I don't use Chrome's password or autofill features, or the newest ones at the bottom.

I use Identity Safe and so far it's worked well for me. Knock on wood :smileywink:

Here is what I found about the two new ones at the bottom  -

  • Clear data from hosted apps: Data from the apps you’ve added to Chrome from Chrome Web Store will be erased, such as the local storage used by Gmail Offline.
  • Deauthorize content licenses: This will prevent Flash Player from playing any previously viewed protected content, such as movies or music that you’ve purchased. It’s recommended to deauthorize content licenses before selling or donating your computer

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the info. I thought the very bottom item looked somewhat familiar. I went into XP's control panel and that's exactly what's listed in the flash player settings under the Advanced tab.
