Downloading Adobe Flash Player

I have tried to download Adobe Flash Player but it keeps telling me to close down the internet explorer and retry.  I close it as instructed but it still gives me that error message.  Any idea how I will be able to download this.  I have Vista operating system.

Thanks

"I close it as instructed ..."

Is that the browser window you closed?  There may be other components of the browser still running in the background.  Open up taskmanager and see if internet explorer is listed in the running processes.  If it is, (make sure any data that needs to be saved are saved), click on and end the process from there.

There is a specific Forum for questions like this not concerned with a Norton Product -- Tech Outpost -- so I'll ask for your message to be moved over there or better exposure. You won't lose sight of it because a link will be left here.
