Hey i would really like it for someone to help me i dont feel like reinstalling windows 7 ....
My buddy deleted a file in my registry i think it was a "windows games file" to get me Grand theft auto 4(game) to work and the game works but since i got that file deleted my windows update keeps on saying CODE 800b0100 error i think its because the file is missing. What can i do to get my windows update to work again i tryed HOTFIX FOR WINDOWS and the microsoft programs to get it working again and no luck.....
Id love to get my windows update to work again

Hi Dark_Scanlon,
Welcome to Norton Community.
You can download and run the "System Update Readiness tool" from the microsoft website and run that on the computer and it should fix the problem.
Windows servicing store may prevent the successful installation of updates, service packs, and software. This tool checks your computer for such inconsistencies and tries to resolve issues if found.
Here is the link : http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?
After you run this tool, try running windows updates ( if possible after a system reboot)
Let us know if this does not fix the problem.
Thanks,
Ravi

I see, Since that did not work. I would suggest you to go ahead and reset the windows update.
You can do that by running a fix for reseting windows update, which you can find here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058#appliesto
Run this tool on the computer, and then restart the computer and try to do the updates.
That should work.
Thanks,
Ravi
