Thankyou for your replies, I ran a full scan in safe mode which came back fine. I then ran the scan with the malwarebytes which came back saying there was 4 Trojan infections do I quarantined them and deleted them. I have run both scans today and they have both come back fine, so I would like to thankyou very much for your help :) although I will probably have to run the scans a few more times before I trust using my laptop again and even then I'm not sure I will trust it for certain things lol

You're welcome

Let Norton run its scans as scheduled and Malwarebytes every week or so, be sure to update it before you run it. That should keep you safe. The keyboard/chair interface must be fully engaged at all times to be sure you have the maximum degree of protection. We can help with cures and Norton can do a lot of prevention but you still have to be careful.
