Hi ALF60,
Don't know what's going on here, but when updating from within Reader, Help > Check for Updates, I was updated from version 9.5.1 to version 9.5.2. Is the reader you listed a Adobe Reader X ? That's the version at the website.
My product just says Adobe Reader. Just want to be sure I'm updated with the product I use.
Thanks,
Ed

Hi Ed,
Yes, 10.1.4 is the X version
This from their FAQ page is all I could find on the differences between 9 and X versions.
Adobe Reader X adds much in the way of new functionality, especially relating to signing files, highlighting and commenting, security, and enhanced user experience.

System requirements can be found here - http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/tech-specs.ht
I hope this helps.

Hi Edjr60 I missed your reply to my post because I was sleeping after a long day of things like making sure that my sisters computer was updated on Tuesday that I did not back to you. The info that krusty13 is correct about to two versions of the adobe reader that are available its just the adobe does not tell people about the difference between the two. THANKS Dave

Ok ... that all sounds good to me. Will remember for the future. I think I'll stick with Adobe 9, now that it's all updated. With no more than the couple of things I use it for, I really don't need any extra bells and whistles ![]()

The main difference in adobe reader 9xx is no sandbox technology while adobe 10x has sandbox technologies NOTE there are unpatched security flaws in adobe reader so use caution when using adobe reader see the post Google researchers reporting unpatched flaws in that post
