The latest version of Chrome browser was released. After going through settings, there doesn't seem to be any overall changes that are noticeable.
There is one thing however that I noticed. After this new version, when clearing the browser history, closing the browser and restarting the computer, then opening a new tab, the recent sites visited are still there as thumbnailed images.
Before, they would be cleaned up also and only the Chrome Web Store and Welcome to Google Chrome images would remain displayed as always. When checking History, it has been cleared.
Don't know if this is by design, or another Chrome glitch or at my end. I don't think it would be anything serious ![]()

Another day - another version...
I think it has to do with a vulnerability in Adobe flash Player.

The first post at Secunia pretty much says it. I know I've been having nothing but problems at YouTube with Flash Player ever since Chrome 21
Before that with Chrome 20, I didn't have any issues at all when there.

Hmm,
I haven't noticed problems with YouTube with Chrome. Had a couple of crashes with Firefox and one with IE9 while watching a video, but not Chrome. Maybe the difference between XP and W7?

Between XP and Win7 ... could be. Trying to build up some of this >>> $$$
before moving on to the next computer.

Hi Pongodog,
I can't tell from your post if you would somehow still be on Chrome 21 or not. The auto-updater would have updated you. Either way, Click Here to go to a post about the most recent update to the Chrome browser. Version 25.0.1364.172. See if this resolves your issue, if not, please post back with any additional information.

Hi Pongodog,
Looking at your issue further, I don't think you have disabled the Thumbnails .. also called Frames. When you open a new blank tab in Chrome, there are eight Frames displayed. Two of them are generally always the Chrome Web Store and Welcome to Google Chrome. As you browse the Internet, the Thumbnails/Frames display your most visited websites in thumbnail view.
This thread you posted to, is one I started back in August 2012. Since that time, I learned when you clear your browsing history, cache, etc, it also clears the most visited websites off the Frames, leaving only the Chrome Web Store and Welcome to Google Chrome in view. This is by design by Google.
There is one thing not to do while browsing the Internet when using Chrome. When opening a new blank tab while websites are loaded into the Frames, Do Not click the X at the upper right of any of the Frames. By doing so, websites you visit often will no longer appear in the Frames the next time you visit them.
When clearing your browsing history, the websites appearing in the Frames will still be cleared, but not disabled from appearing again when visiting those sites.
I hope this has been of some help to you. Post back with any additional issues should they arise.
Ed
