Silverlight..configuration.exe freezing laptop

When I try to reply to a message in my hotmail I get a I.E. security warning that Silverlight..configuration.exe wants to open and it locks my hotmail . I do not know what to do about it. Any one else with this problem. Thanks

Hi,

What you are describing sounds more like symptoms than causes. What scans have you run? Also, which version of what Norton product do you have installed?

Thanks

This is happening to me too. Only way to stop it is to terminate IE process.  Happens in both IE and Firefox

I have just experienced the same problem and while I have not thoroughly searched this norton site I'm disappointed that as a norton user (v6) I was not able to find an answer to my problem on this norton site but instead did find a workable solution on justanswer, http://www.justanswer.com/computer/74p1e-website-calling-itself-silverlight-configuration-exe-keeps....

Arnold,

I know we have people here who know everything about everything but why would you expect to find an answer to a problem with a Microsoft "feature" -- Silverlight -- on a Forum dealing with Norton products who don't seem to be involved?

Is there any indication that it relates to your Norton 360 V6?
