Strange directory

A strange looking blue directory pops in and out of the directory tree when viewing my drives and files with windows explorer.  it is always under my account within the users directory, the strange directory is made of symbols not letters and they look like ANSI characters, they are blue and they appear for a few minutes then they disappear, the tree will expand and collapse as the directory comes and goes.

Re: Strange directory

Dan,

I won't attempt to deal with the font question but the blue color could be explained by this:

Why Do Some Windows Files and Folder Names Appear in Blue?

Re: Strange directory

Ok the blue color I understand, but what about the way the folder pops up in the tree, then a few seconds later it disappears.  It's always different characters when it reappears.

Thank you Sir

Hi DanVeit,

This appears to be a Powerdesk issue, rather than a Windows Explorer problem.  Please see the following, which mentions the same issue and may provide a solution:

PD Strikes again!

Interesting since I have PD 8.4.1.12 installed I rarely use it nowadays. I just opened it up and while it shows me the blue folders and files I don't see any odd fonts or changing displays.

Later today I'll see if I can find and delete a compressed file and generate anything.
