Re: "Flame" Virus

I just had 5 more copies of the email -- one for each of the products I've ever installed I guess ....

Background on the malware seems to vary between "The Iranians wrote it" and "It's attacking the Iranians" .... of course both could be true if we have some good hackers.....

Re: "Flame" Virus

Hello

I got the email today which I believe was about the Flamer. However, I was afraid to open it because I still get what I believe are spamming emails that appear to be from Norton almost every day. What is odd is that they had stopped during the period I had stopped coming here and posting. Since I came back and started posting again, those other emails have started again which to me is very odd. I don't open up those emails and just delete them.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.

[ Edited ]

On June 3, 2012, Microsoft released an Advisory and Update regarding Malware using un-authorized Digital Certificates derived from a Microsoft Certificate Authority. The use of these Digital Certificates could be used to launch Phishing Attacks or Man-In-The-Middle Attacks.

It has been more than a week [Tuesday, June 12, 2012] since the release of the Bulletin and Update and there have not confirmed any new attacks using un-Authorized Digital Certificates. Apply the Update if you have not already done so.
