The Wifi counter is definitely a known issue that we'll be releasing a fix for soon. The other issue may be new or it may be just a misunderstanding. Can you confirm that your mobile data usage is incorrect? What is your carrier? Are you comparing the data usage only since you installed NMU or are you comparing it to your plans usage for the current billing period? Your device will track data usage without any date reference. So, when NMU is installed it will track mobile data usage from the moment it's installed. Does this help clarify things or is something else occuring?
